  • Le Tour Traveler’s Rest Youth Hostel – though much more expensive than expected ($38 for a double room, $13 for a dorm bed), it is well located and near a metro station. • Shanghai Le Tour Bailan – cheaper option ($25 for a double room), near metro station but further out.
  • Genting Star Shanghai – a bit far from city activities, travel time to be taken into consideration if you only have two days in the city. $16 for a private room for two.

Shanghai Local Transportation/How to Get Around Shanghai:

  • Metro is the easiest way to get around in Shanghai. it also serves Pudong & Hongqiao International Airports. Ride fares and daily/three-day passes fares can be found here. The metro ends at 11pm so be ready to hail a taxi or walk home should you be out after that time.

I lived in Shanghai for a year. There is also a large park where the Yangzi River meets the ocean. It’s called Paotaiwan Wetland Forest Park, and it’s free! It’s near Shuichan Lu subway station on Line 3.

  2. I do accept as true with all of the ideas you have offered for your post. They are very convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are too brief for novices. Could you please prolong them a little from next time? Thank you for the post.

Hey, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog site in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, wonderful blog.
