Below is our itinerary to help you plan the cities you may want to visit. We made six stops from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. We traveled by bus to each destination, which was really easy in Cambodia.

#1 Siem Reap : popular tourist destination. A must visit in Cambodia and only 7km away from magnificent Angkor Wat – a must do while in Cambodia.

#2 Battambang : second largest city of the country. Peaceful and quiet town, famed for the Bamboo train and French Colonial architecture still very present.

#3 Sihanoukville : beach stop of the trip for some rest and relaxation. Very crowded and touristy but has its own charm. Go from serendipity beach to Otres Beach and enjoy barbecues on the beach.

#4 Kampot : known for its pepper, great two-day stop for some crab and to discover another lovely area of the country. Hop on over to Kep for its famous crab! An memorable experience!

#5 Kampong Cham : third largest city of the country, located along the Mekong River. With appearances of a sleepy town, we enjoyed the serenity and slow-pace of the environment.

#6 Phnom Penh : capital of the country, well-developed with sky-rises in sight. We visited the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) and the Choeung Ek Killing Fields.
